Uniquely Personalised Experience

The Signature Series IT Occupational lenses are perfect for today’s busy work-life and are specifically created for people who need maximum field of view for near and intermediate distances, such as office and boardroom environments. These lenses are not suitable for driving.

The IT Occupational lenses are intended as an additional pair to full progressive Multifocal lenses or as an alternative to reading glasses, providing more visual field for up-close and intermediate distances than multifocal glasses or a single vision pair can offer.
Think about a multifocal lens as it is horizontally divided in 3 portions (near, intermediate and distance) so you can use it as an all-around solution all day, every day. But what happens when you are spending majority of your day in an office, looking close objects such as printed reports, mobile phone or tablet, shifting to intermediate distance to your computer screen, or maybe to a presentation on the board? You are using only the bottom 2/3 or the lens, sometimes in unnatural head positions to look through the near and intermediate parts of the lens all day. This can lead to tired eyes, neck and back pains.

According to a survey, Australians spend an average of 10 hours a day on digital devices.

Our IT Occupational lenses are developed to use the entire surface of the lens for near and intermediate vision, without sacrificing the top portion for long distance, making these lenses excellent companions at work. No more uncomfortable viewing positions, visual stress, neck and back pain. They are perfect solutions not only for office environments, but for any occupation that requires sharp view up close and up to a certain restricted distance, for example a hairdressing salon or barber shop, where you keep shifting your gaze from the work at hand to the customer’s expression in the mirror.

Unlike the Task and Device lenses, this office lens design allows the optician to customise to your particular vision needs at work. The IT Occupational lens gives the Optometrist ultimate control of the prescribed powers to be incorporated in the lens design. Your Optical Dispenser can evaluate your work environment and determine the optimal shift in the lens, to provide smooth, wide fields of view and unparalleled performance, tailormade to your visual needs and environment.

These technologically enhanced lenses incorporate state-of-the-art technologies and the latest equipment in the world market.

What Is The Best Coating For IT Occupational Lenses?

If you are working with computers, to give your eyes as much comfort as possible, we recommend to pair these lenses with Satin Blue coating. CR Surfacing’s special anti-reflective Satin Blue coating filters out harmful blue light coming from digital surfaces, as well as natural and artificial lights. Approximately one third of all visible light is blue light, a high-energy light that has a number of biological effects, including on the eye. Blue light penetrates all the way to the retina and can damage the light-sensitive cells and can increase the risk of age-related macular degeneration. Although not all blue light is bad, as it helps boost alertness, memory and cognitive function, the harmful wavelengths can be filtered out with Satin Blue coating, providing maximum comfort, enhanced visual performance and protection for your eyes.

For occupations that require more customer interaction or working with non-digital materials, we recommend using Satin UV Anti-Reflecting Coating. Our Satin UV Anti-reflective coating is developed to improve vision by reducing glare, reduce eyestrain by enhanced visual performance, protect your eye health by blocking UV rays, and enhance cosmetic appearance by eliminating reflections on the lens surface. This coating also helps extend the life of the lenses. The Satin UV coating consists of layers specially formulated to create a scratch-resistant, water and dust repellent coat, making the lenses last longer. An ideal solution for everyday use, no matter the environment.
