To achieve impeccable mirror surface, unparalleled glare reduction and complete UV protection, our Satin Mirror Coat is applied to polarised lenses.

Why Polarised Lenses?

UV radiation is associated with serious long-term health issues, including a range of ocular and eyelid diseases.
Australia has some of the highest rates of UV associated diseases in the world, including the highest incidence of skin cancers, 10% of which occur around the eye. UV radiation penetrates the eye and is a risk factor for the development of cataracts and may cause age-related macular degeneration.
Polarised lenses block horizontal wavelengths, reducing troublesome glare while enhancing colour and depth perception, and offering protection from UV radiation-associated damage to the ocular structures.

Using the latest technologies, we prepare the lenses with index-matched dip coat, then apply the mirror coat on the front and finish with Satin UV Anti-reflective coating on the back surface of the lenses which prevents light coming from the side bouncing back into the eye.

Glare causes difficulty to see objects clearly in the presence of bright sunlight. It interferes with comfortable and sharp vision, causing squinting and eyestrain that can lead to headaches.
Discomfort glare results in an instinct to look away or difficulty to view objects in the direction of the glare source. Disability glare impairs the vision of objects sometimes without causing any discomfort, such as driving towards the ocean with sunlight bouncing off the water surface, disabling the driver to distinguish contrasts and see clearly. The polarisation filters the light passing through the lenses, while the back surface coating eliminates the sideways approaching light to bounce back into the eye from the back surface of the sunglass lens.

This method guarantees an exceptional quality product with comprehensive glare reduction, maximum UV protection, uncompromised durability and stunning vibrant colours.
